UseBike was created following a group project during my first year in MMI. The aim was to invent a website for a fictitious association, which was trying to convince people to use bicycles to get to work. The project was carried out by a group of three people. I was in charge of design with a colleague, then communication.
We used Figma to create the project mock-up, which enabled us to imagine the design and visualize the pages before developing them. For the site itself, we used WordPress. This project was also our first experience with this tool, which enabled us to learn how to manage themes, plugins and content in a professional way.
The project was designed to be totally responsive, allowing fluid adaptation on all types of screens. We ensured that every element of the design and structure fit perfectly, to guarantee an optimal user experience, whatever the device used. This approach ensures intuitive navigation and consistent visual rendering across all platforms.
Thanks to this project, we learned a lot, both about the tools and about teamwork. It was our first experience with WordPress, and we discovered how to create a functional site while customizing its look and functionality. It gave us a better understanding of the basics of web development using a professional platform. Beyond the tools, this project also taught us to collaborate better. Working as a team pushed us to exchange ideas, divide tasks and meet deadlines. The experience strengthened our communication and project management skills, essential qualities for future projects.
