Context

As part of a school project, I designed a new visual identity for the OFFF festival, an international event that celebrates creativity, design and motion. The goal was to create a modern, cohesive and adaptable identity while exploring the idea of a polymorphic logo that could adjust to different media and contexts. This project allowed me to go through the entire art direction process, from visual research and logo design to applying the identity across different communication materials.

Tools used

For this project, I mainly worked with Figma to design the logo, visual variations and overall layout of the identity. The tool allowed me to explore different compositions, harmonize shapes and colors, and build a consistent art direction. I also used Photoshop to create one of the posters, in order to refine the visual details and give a more realistic touch to the final presentation.

Visual identity and applications

The visual identity is based on a grid of nine squares, allowing the creation of a logo that is both structured and flexible. The geometric shapes and color gradient create a modern and dynamic aesthetic that matches the spirit of the festival. This identity was then adapted across several formats such as posters, Instagram posts and goodies, to demonstrate its consistency and adaptability in different contexts.

Learning

This project helped me better understand how a visual identity can come to life across different formats, whether through posters, social media posts or merchandise. I learned how to adapt the logo and graphic elements while maintaining overall consistency and a clear creative direction. It was also an opportunity to deepen my approach to art direction by focusing more on composition, visual hierarchy and how an identity can evolve depending on its context.
